Full of Sit! (Relax, I said SIT.)

It's official, we have a sitter! Eva has been practising day and night perfecting the art of sitting, and finally all of her hard work has paid off! She is the proudest baby I have ever seen, she just grins like a goof when she's got her sit on. We are so proud of our big little girl!

Head Case

For some reason, this child always has something on her head. Always. On an unrelated note, she learned the hard way that her shirt needs to be unbottoned BEFORE she takes it off. Haha, she looks like Sloth from The Goonies.

Cat Scratch Fever

Eva now has a new favourite toy... Harley! Hooray, Harley is super excited! Eva's little face lights up whenever she catches sight of Harley and she starts squealing and flailing her arms wildly in the air. It's pretty hilarious. She just grabs right onto Harley in her tiny vice grip and holds on for dear life. I have to admit, Harley is being a VERY good kitty... no scratches or bites so far! I am trying to teach Eva to be gentle and pet nicely, but I think it will be a few more months (or years) until this lesson sinks in. Let's hope Harley can keep her cool until then!

Can't get enough dress up!

It seems like we end up dressed up at some point every day lately! Abby is quite the fanatic, whenter its shoes, purses, or outfits. At this rate she is going to have a wonderful wardrobe when she's older, and I can't wait to raid it! I can't wait until Eva is a little bit older and they can play dress up together. It makes me smile to think about how much fun they're going to have together as they grow up. Until then, however, Abby will have to settle playing dress up with whatever adult she has available at the moment. Here are a few shots of those "lucky" individuals who have had the honour of being her dress up buddy recently.

Oh, and Adam, you can't be mad that I posted these on here because as you recall, you asked me not to post these pictures on FACEBOOK. As you can clearly see, this is blogger.com, not Facebook. I found a loop hole in our verbal agreement... that will teach you to be more precise the next time you make me promise something :) No need to thank me for teaching you such a valuable life lesson; photographic evidence of your smiling face in a wig and fairy wings is all the thanks I'll ever need.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving weekend was a big success, and a big thanks goes out to Jon, Elaine and Marg for putting on a fabulous dinner YET AGAIN! I think a new tradition has been started... showing up at Jon and Elaine's and eating until our bellies are busting, then packing up and heading home! Haha, only kidding guys, don't panic... you don't have to change your locks and pretend you're not home next year! Seriously though, it was fantastic. Thanks!
The girls enjoyed having a nice relaxing weekend with G-ma and G-pa Ofstie, and of course it was a special treat that Daddy was home as well. It's nice to just be able to hang out and relax for a change; usually these visits are jammed full of shopping or home improvements or all sorts of running around! Here are a few pictures of the weekend.

Feeding Time

Eva tried some carrots this morning for the second time EVER. They went over just as well on the second attempt as they did on the first at Thanksgiving dinner ... which is to say not well at all. Oh well, we will just keep on trying! Abby ate her lunch quietly while I struggled with Eva and the carrots, so I thought I would try to get a few candid shots of her enjoying her lunch like a good girl. But as soon as I pointed the camera her way she started hamming it up, of course! So much for my nice candid shots.
